Keilhauer

TORONTO | SHOWROOM | 2,443 SQ FT

The Keilhauer showroom, located at 150 King Street East in Toronto, transcends traditional displays, evolving into a dynamic hub for work and collaboration in response to the changing post-COVID landscape.

Strategically located in the heart of the King East design community, the gallery inspired showroom benefits from a vibrant synergy with neighboring furniture and ancillary brands. Figure3’s design masterfully balances the building’s heritage with Keilhauer’s modern sophistication, creating an atmosphere that pays homage to the past while embracing contemporary design.

The Toronto showroom marks the third endeavor that Figure3 has designed with Keilhauer, including the NYC Flagship Showroom which launched in February 2024 and two showrooms for Keilhauer’s subsidiary brand, Division Twelve.

Executing the kit-of-parts

The implementation of a kit-of-parts strategy introduces unique elements, such as a linear texture behind the reception desk, that provide a modern and approachable aesthetic throughout the space. Display niches, resembling large-scale bookshelves, effectively showcase the furniture as sculpture, emphasizing craftsmanship and attention to detail—a recurring theme to be echoed across the Keilhauer brand.
