TORONTO | RETAIL | 158 SQ FT

Transforming from its humble origins as a small shoe repair shop, 320 Front Street in Toronto has blossomed into Penguin Random House's dynamic, adaptable, and highly Instagrammable haven for devoted book enthusiasts. Despite its modest footprint of 158 square feet, the Figure3 retail design team embraced the opportunity to fashion a unique, experiential space tailored for the editors and authors of this literary powerhouse. In this limited space, Figure3's imaginative vision transcends, drawing inspiration from the very essence of books— infusing whimsy, entertainment, and meticulous structure into the multi-purpose activation space that truly elevates the experience.

Go Big, Think Big

Figure 3 elevates the shopping experience with its oversized pantry-style pull-out shelves featuring interchangeable graphics that cleverly mimic book spines. This thoughtful design allows the publisher's marketing team to seamlessly update the graphic branding in sync with new book launches and events. The ceiling-mounted gliders add a touch of sophistication, creating an immersive sensation for shoppers as they gracefully unveil Penguin-published books and exclusive branded merchandise.
