La Maison Simons

La Maison Simons, an established fashion retailer with department stores across Quebec had a new goal for the brand; to create a substantial foothold in the Western Canadian market. The retailer engaged Figure3 to lead the consumer research and design for the Canada-wide expansion, launching a 100,000 square foot store in West Edmonton Mall, the largest shopping mall in North America.

As a brand, Simons aims to be both compelling, and original. After extensive research into the lifestyle behaviour of the target demographic, Figure3 established how to set the new store apart in the Western Canada marketplace; using thoughtful touchpoints to encourage customers to explore and be inspired by the rising fashion brand.

With this in mind, Figure3 produced a design concept focused on ‘landmark moments’: using powerful design gestures to punctuate four key departments. Figure3 also created opportunities for consumer engagement throughout the store, such a mini-digital photo studio in the change rooms to invite clients to explore, react, and share on their socials.
