When SmartCentres developed their concept of PenguinPickUp, a friendly neighbourhood “one-stop pick-up” shop solution, they approached Figure3 to design convenient and intuitive environments for their customers. The shops would offer online shoppers in urban areas a location to pick up and drop off packages and also shop for groceries and essentials. The entire customer journey is thoughtfully considered. From a street presence that catches the eye and ignites curiosity to an in-store experience that feels fresh, clean and welcoming; a contemporary neighbourhood concierge.

Blonde wood panelling evokes Scandinavian modernism while still reading as calm and bright, with polished concrete floors lending an urban sensibility. Understanding that environmental graphic branding goes hand in glove with retail spaces that customers can navigate intuitively, the brand’s bold signature colours were used to define key customer touch points such as for package pickup and drop-off, courier services, groceries, wine, and grab and go items.
