Penguin Shop
After the success of designing the new Penguin Random House Canadian headquarters, Figure3 was given the opportunity to create a unique, experiential space. At just 158 square feet, Figure3’s creative vision for the multi-purpose activation space was inspired by books themselves: whimsical, entertaining, and meticulously structured.
Figure3 created oversized, pantry-style pull out shelves wrapped in interchangeable graphics, designed to resemble book spines; allowing the publisher’s marketing team to update the graphic branding of the space to coincide with new book launches and events. The ceiling-mounted gliders gives shoppers the impression of pulling books off a shelf, revealing Penguin-published books and branded merchandise.
Featuring floating ledges and immersive displays alongside the mobile bookshelves, the compact retail space is anchored by a branded backlit wall with movable display units, allowing products to be displayed outside the shop front from within – encouraging and inviting book lovers to venture inside and explore.
